Welcome to KJ’s Korner — a warm community built on hope, help, and connection.
KJ’s Korner has been serving incarcerated people and their families since 2013. We are a group of friends and family whose own lives have been touched by incarceration, and we started this community for one simple reason: nobody should have to navigate the system alone.
Why We Do This
Having a loved one inside is hard in ways most people never see — the distance, the waiting, the paperwork, the feeling that the rest of the world has moved on. And for those on the inside, everyday things the rest of us take for granted can be nearly impossible to get done. We understand that, because we’ve lived it. That understanding is at the heart of everything we do.
How We Help
- For inmates: We handle the outside world so you can focus on what matters — online research, ordering books, scanning and copying documents, ordering gifts, and much more, all on your behalf.
- For families: Resources, guidance, support, and a community of people who truly understand what you’re going through.
- Greeting cards with heart: Every card in our shop is designed by an incarcerated artist — beautiful, meaningful, and personal, in print or digital. Your purchase supports our community and our contests.
- Card design contests: We run contests that give incarcerated artists a chance to win prizes and have their art sold in our shop. Every artist deserves to be seen.
As you look around our site, you’ll see artwork created by incarcerated individuals — their talent is part of who we are.
Who We Serve
We primarily serve Texas prisons, but we welcome anyone who needs help navigating the system — wherever you are, you’re welcome in our Korner.
